Evangelism and the Pounders Family), was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma when she was 21 months old. It was in her liver, bone marrow, and adrenal glands. The tumor on her liver was the size of a football. She turned 3 in Jun 09. When the results were received a few weeks back, all the cancer was gone from her liver, bone marrow, and adrenal glands, but new cancer formed on both hips and one femur. Doctors feel all avenues of hope are now exhausted. Carley needs your prayers. God has already performed miracles, but she needs the greatest miracle now. The family is emotionally and financially devastated, but as her Mom says, “We can’t give up on Carley.” If you or someone you know would like to help, it would be a great blessing. Dear Friends, I wanted to drop you a very quick note to say that I hope that you have a very blessed Thanksgiving Day and to update you on our current world missions happenings. I just returned from a powerful time of ministry in Nicaragua (I had a great team with me). We saw almost one hundred pastors/churches come together for these meetings and in four nights saw about 155 decisions for Christ (and likely many more as it was broadcast rebroadcast by radio). The pastors were impressed with the number of conversions (apparently they had not seen this previously), the fact that no offerings were received in the meetings (thanks to your generosity to PE), and that that many churches and leaders could work together. God IS good! In less than a week my awesome wife Sonya departs for Tanzania, Africa. We are pumped about this great opportunity before PE. Sonya is a powerfully gifted lady and will be a huge blessing in the churches there and in ministering to the orphans. I'm so thankful to have her representing this ministry in Africa! It is amazing to me how the Lord directs our steps on this planet even when we aren’t aware that it is happening and infuses VISION for our life. Two “chance” encounters in Eastern Europe have been instrumental in shaping the Lord’s Vision for my life and ministry. I was on a fifteen hour train ride in Russia almost fifteen years ago when the Lord imparted clear vision to me. I had just completed an evangelistic crusade in Belarus and was headed to Moscow. I looked out my window as we passed village after village in the Russian countryside. The Lord made me aware the the church was alive and well in the major cities of the former Soviet Union but that these smaller cities and villages had very little happening and in most of them there was no church at all! As a result, we began to train young pastors and evangelists across Eastern Europe (and now around the World) specifically targeting these remote areas for church planting. Over the last fifteen years we have been able to help equip pastors and plant churches across Eastern Europe and in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. I’m amazed at what He has done! The other encounter occurred while I was in Chisinau Moldova training church planters. While walking down the street a young gypsy girl grabbed my leg and began begging me for help. Of course there was little I could do at that moment for her other than give her some money, but I have never forgotten her face or her cry. As a result, today we are caring for kids on the streets of Chisinau; in the Father’s House in Slabazea, Moldova; in the House of Hope in Kalinga, India; in the streets of Nicaragua through our New Life Preschools; and now we have Ethiopia in our sites as well. Again, I am totally amazed at what the Lord has done! Maybe our “chance” encounters are really the definite leading of the Lord into the VISION He has for our life. This summer (and year round) we are training Pastors and young people for World Evangelism, taking care of orphans and street kids, and preaching Good News around the World!
