In Psalm 40 verses 1-3, the Psalmist David declared the mighty deliverance that God had wrought in his life. He cried out, “I waited intently on the Lord and He heard my cry for help. He brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the muck of mire and set my feet upon a rock and established my steps. He has also put a new song in my mouth. A song of praise to our God. Many will see it and fear and will trust in the Lord.”

For the past eighteen years, I have had the privilege of walking with the Lord and declaring His glory among the nations. He has allowed me to preach in churches, auditoriums, prisons and in the streets across America and around the world. There is no doubt that His grace is amazing!

Two decades ago, I was a troubled kid on the streets of Huntsville, Alabama. Drugs and alcohol abuse had consumed all of my teen years and left me bound, empty, and broken at twenty years of age. Satan had taken my godless lifestyle and cast me into a pit of destruction.

I had come to the point in my life that I felt like there was no hope for me. I believed that there were good people and bad people like me and you could never cross over that line. Despair had taken over my life, but God sent messengers and circumstances into my life to declare “Jesus can change your life.”
